From Ohbots, Probots and Pi-Tops, to flying drones, Spheros and Arduinos - you'll find lots of cool kit for students to get stuck in with.

Schools and Colleges within Gloucestershire and the Forest of Dean can register an account with their local Distribution Centre, listed below, to book drop crates out for their students.

Booking

Training can be provided on how to make a reservation, with the checkout process being run by the Distribution Centre point of contact. Online help is also available via the application (which is web based or mobile phone based).

Justification for booking the equipment should be made in the comment field so that the CyberFirst team can understand how the equipment is being used.

Rules

When booking equipment

  • Equipment drop crates can only be booked out for a maximum of one school half term (either 6 or 7 weeks) and must be returned to the distribution centre before school closes for the half term holiday period.

  • Teachers should only book equipment for the time that they are going to be using it for. This allows a wider range of schools to make use of the available equipment.

  • Teachers are responsible for the pick-up and drop off of all equipment crates and should liaise directly with their Distribution Centre point of contact.

  • It is the teacher's responsibility to ensure they have the correct equipment in the crates at pick up and drop off. Any losses or damage should be reported to the Distribution Centre point of contact.
